10:57 pm - 5 Years Ago
|
Five years ago yesterday, Andrew and I became a couple. It has most definitely been the best five years of my life. I am living all my dreams every day and could not be happier. I know most certainly that I have not done anything good enough to deserve this happiness. I am truly blessed and fortunate.

10:03 pm - 1930's Husband/Wife Rating
|
Mel took this really cute little quiz and posted it.
It says that I am very superior 30's wife, but then I thought perhaps I should have Andrew fill it out for me and see what I get. ;) I admitted to being cranky in the morning, but there are probably several questions about being cantankerous that he would dispute.

1:28 pm - This and that
|
This post may be a little disjointed. I think that I am right on the threshold of not having posted for so long that I’ll have to do a long or creative post, so I will just provide a smattering of what is going on with us.
Andrew has been riding his bike to work a lot. This is quite an accomplishment from Carmel to downtown. He broke his pedal yesterday pedaling so hard, and I about had a heart attack when he told me. He being safe, though, so I am happy that he is able to be outdoorsy and athletic like he likes, again.
I am not riding my bike into work. I am, however, getting a little better with the walking. My good friend, Naomi let me try their gentle leader and Reece rocked it. So, I got him one today. It makes our walks much more enjoyable. Since he was pulling so much, I was not able to walk him with my wonky feet. In fact, I had this dream last night that I woke up and my feet were all looking screwed up and pre-surgery which is a little bizarre.
I am really loving our new neighborhood, city, and house. We have found places that we really like to go to eat. There are so many, and I think that I always pick the same places. I have always adored going out to brunch. There are so many places, and it seems like Andrew is telling me about more daily. Our house is so wonderful. Andrew has been doing a lot of projects to make it more techie. His theater room excluded because that’s a given, he has been putting in thermostats we can program via our computers and running a connection so I can operate the basement TiVo from the 3rd floor. It is all very cool. I like our basement television. It is very functional for reading the captioning, because the projector makes the viewable area BIG. The high definition doesn't hurt, either. I actually can read lips. We have been looking for porch furniture, because I am loving having evening quality time with Reece outside - which is crazy because I hate the outside. Our neighborhood is so cute, though, and people are friendly. Andrew said our one neighbor’s little girl runs in the courtyard and dances when he is gardening, and the other neighbor’s toddler came and helped him sweep the garage.
We are making plans for this summer. We have a wedding in Pittsburg and we are thinking of making our vacation out of that. There are so many historic sights to see, and we love that and museums. Also, Andrew has a business trip to Austin where I might tag along. I have never been, and they have an awesome craft community.
Well, hopefully I have lived up to the posting expectation and can lapse my posts for a while, again.
